I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. As a lover of comics, art, nature, and graphic novels, Twigs and Leaf has been the one project that brings these passions together. I love creating this series and can’t wait to bring it to young readers around the world.
I love to create nature-related graphic novels for kids, and I start most of my work with paper and ink pens or Sharpies before finishing in Procreate. It’s important for me to work with physical media when generating nature-related ideas.
As a Native American/Hispanic engaged in environmental sustainability and art, I feel drawn to a relationship with nature and stewardship of the natural land. I love drawing characters that evoke joy and help people to connect with nature and conservation.
